Melo was born in New York City on May 29, 1984. After living in New York, Melo and his family settled in Baltimore when he was 8 years old. Anthony attended high school at basketball powerhouse Oak Hill Academy in Virginia and was named a high school All-American. Coming out of high school, Melo was one of the most highly touted prospects. He would go on to live up to the hype during his brief stint at Syracuse University. Had an outstanding rookie season, appearing in all 82 games and averaging 21.0 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 2.8 apg and 1.18 spg in 36.5 minutes … Finished second in got milk?
